A legal check of these terms is still to come.
1. Who runs the competition
Nebius and Positronic co-organize the Physical AI Competition (“the organizers” or “we”). Positronic runs the evaluation platform and the finale, and grants the Positronic evaluation credits. Nebius provides the compute and grants the Nebius GPU credits. The legal entities of the organizers: TBD.
2. Who can take part
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One person, one account, and one team. If a person submits from more than one account, their whole team is disqualified.
- The person who registers a team accepts these terms for the team. They make sure that each member agrees to them and follows them.
- You may not take part if the law of your country, or sanctions that apply to the organizers, forbid it.
- The competition runs in stages, as the rules describe. Depending on the number of teams and the compute they use, the organizers may admit to stage 2 only the N teams with the best Total at the end of stage 1. We announce N on the home page before stage 1 ends. A team that is not admitted can no longer submit and takes no finale place. It keeps any prize it won in stage 1.
- Employees and contractors of the organizers may take part. Their entries show on the board, but they take no finale place and win no prize.
3. Your submission stays yours
- You keep all rights to your model, your weights and your image.
- You give the organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to copy and run your image, only to score it in the competition and the finale. The licence ends when we delete our copies.
- We copy each image you submit into our own registry to run it, and we discard any registry credential after the copy. We delete our copies of your images within 90 days after the winners are announced. We do not give your image or your weights to anyone.
- A rollout is the record of one run of your policy: the observations, the actions, the videos and the scores. You give Positronic a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free and permanent licence to keep, use and publish the rollouts, for example for research, for benchmarks and to train models. This licence gives Positronic no right to your image or your weights.
- We publish your team name, your scores and the videos of your runs. They stay public after the competition. Logs are shown only to your team.
4. What you promise
- You have the right to submit what you submit. Check the licences of the models and data you build on.
- Your image does not contain malware and does not try to reach the network, the simulator internals, the scoring or other teams' data.
- You follow the rules.
5. Prizes
- Prizes are Nebius GPU credits and Positronic evaluation credits. They are not cash, and you cannot exchange or transfer them.
- Nebius GPU credits are subject to the Nebius terms for credits, including their expiry.
- Positronic evaluation credits pay for evaluation runs on the Positronic platform at the published price (TBD). They are valid for 12 months from the day they are granted.
- To receive a prize, a winner confirms their identity and their eligibility within 30 days after the organizers ask. If they do not, or if the law or sanctions forbid the prize, the prize passes to the next team in the ranking.
- The organizers grant a prize to the account that entered. The team decides how to use it.
- Any tax on a prize is the winner's responsibility.
6. Your data
- What we keep. The email and the account id from your sign-in, and the team name you choose.
- Why. To run the competition: to score your submissions, to show the leaderboard, to grant prizes and to send you emails about the competition. We use your email to find your Nebius account when we grant Nebius credits. These uses are needed to perform our agreement with you under these terms.
- Marketing emails. The organizers send you marketing emails only if you agree to them at registration, in a separate tick box (TBD). You can take part without it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Who controls it. Nebius and Positronic decide together how your data is used, as joint controllers under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Positronic is your contact point for all questions and requests (legal entity: TBD).
- Who else sees it. We do not sell your data. We share it with no one else, except service providers that process it for us under a contract, such as hosting and email, and where the law requires it.
- Where. Your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where it is, we use the safeguards that the law requires (TBD).
- How long. We keep your data until 90 days after the winners are announced. Prize and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. The published results stay public, as section 3 says.
- Your rights. You can ask to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, and you can object to how we use it. Write to us by email (TBD). If you delete your data during the competition, your team can no longer take part. You can also complain to a data protection authority.
7. Fair play and decisions
- Our aim is a fair competition. The organizers can disqualify a team that breaks the rules or these terms, and can remove its scores.
- The prizes do not change. We make every reasonable effort to keep the rules and the dates as published. We change them only to keep the competition fair, for example to close a loophole, and we announce each change on the home page with its date.
- The organizers decide in good faith any question that the rules do not answer.
8. No warranty
The platform, the simulators and the robot are provided as they are. The organizers are not liable for lost work, lost submissions or downtime, to the extent the law allows. These terms do not limit any liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as for intent or gross negligence. They also do not limit your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
9. Governing law
TBD
10. Contact
Ask the organizers on the Positronic Discord. For a request about your data, use email (TBD), not Discord, because Discord channels are public.
